Foundations of Psychedelic Medicines (Panel)

Join us for an engaging and informative introduction to the world of psychedelics. This panel explores three of the most well-known entheogenic medicines—psilocybin mushrooms, DMT, and mescaline—through both education and lived experience. Together, we’ll touch on their origins, effects, and the unique ways each can support healing, perspective shifts, and deeper connection. Whether you’re brand new or simply curious, this panel is designed to be approachable, grounded, and thought-provoking. It offers a deeper understanding of these medicines and the role they can play in our lives.

A three-part session covering three major psychedelic medicines and their traditions:

• Psilocybin – Mushrooms
• DMT – Ayahuasca, N,N-DMT, and Bufo
• Mescaline – San Pedro and Peyote

Presented by Alex Embry, Emily Cochran Stiff, and Summer Tucker.

Business & the Current Psychedelic Landscape

Presented by Leslie Arboleda

Aligned Enterprise: Designing Psychedelic Businesses That Are Ethical, Profitable, and Built to Last
What if the future of the psychedelic industry isn’t determined by access or regulation, but by the integrity of the systems we build?  Right now, this space is expanding faster than the structures designed to hold it. Vision is everywhere. Capacity is not.
In this talk, Leslie Arboleda invites you to step beyond the polarized conversation of harm reduction versus regulation and into a more mature question:  What does it actually take to build something that lasts?
You will begin to see how ethics, profitability, and sustainability are not competing priorities, but interconnected systems that either reinforce each other… or quietly unravel everything you’re trying to create.  As you listen, you may notice where your own model relies on overextension, where passion is compensating for structure, and where growth could expose cracks you can no longer afford to ignore.  Then, something shifts because alignment is no longer an abstract idea. It becomes a strategic advantage. A design principle. A leadership standard.
This conversation will challenge you to rethink how you lead, how you build, and what you are truly responsible for as this industry evolves.  It’s not just what you’re creating…but whether it can hold.

The Legal Landscape of Psychedelics

Presented by Amber Naiman, Attorney

Title: Law and Policy – The Legal Landscape of Psychedelics
This presentation touches on the evolving U.S. psychedelic law landscape across state and federal levels, with a focus on the major reform models emerging in Oregon, Colorado, and New Mexico; including a discussion on the differences between decriminalization, medicalized access, and broader legalization-style regulatory systems, while also addressing municipal reform efforts and unresolved tensions with federal prohibition under the Controlled Substances Act, 21 U.S.C. § 801 et seq.. We will also examine how these frameworks are administered in practice through licensing, approved providers, supervised access models, and local control mechanisms; and highlights the practical legal and policy implications for regulators, providers, businesses, and other stakeholders operating in this rapidly developing area.

2:15 – 3:00 PM
History of Psychedelics
