Psychedelics and Chronic Pain
Todd is a licensed therapist and licensed natural medicine facilitator with a practice specializing in treatment resistant depression, complex trauma, and chronic pain. Todd currently teaches natural medicine facilitation at CU Denver. His education includes a PhD in psychology as well as clinical master’s degrees in both marriage and family therapy and psychopharmacology.
The seminar will examine emerging research on psilocybin-assisted therapy, including its effects on 5-HT2A receptor activation, brain network connectivity, neuroplasticity, descending pain modulation, and emotional processing. Attendees will gain a comprehensive, accessible understanding of how integrative approaches may calm an overactive pain system and restore function.
