Vincent Atchity
Vincent Atchity, PhD is President and CEO of Mental Health Colorado, where he leads statewide efforts to advance mental health, end health-based discrimination, and expand access to mental health and substance use care. His work focuses on the intersection of health policy, public safety, and sustainable systems that improve outcomes for individuals and communities across Colorado.
This panel brings together perspectives from public safety, healthcare, policy, and advocacy to examine the realities of psychedelic use in unregulated settings. Panelists will explore distinctions between regulated services, recreational use, and unethical practices; identify common drivers of psychedelic-related emergencies; and discuss strategies for prevention & crisis response.
