Lessons from the Frontier: Real-World Evidence from the First Regulated Psilocybin Programs
Niko Skievaski is co-founder and CEO of Althea, the infrastructure and marketplace behind state-regulated psilocybin services in Oregon and Colorado, used by three in four licensed providers. He previously co-founded Redox, the healthcare data network adopted by thousands of US hospitals, and is a co-author of the first large-scale study of real-world regulated psilocybin services.
Oregon and Colorado produced the first real-world dataset on regulated psilocybin services: who seeks them, how they are dosed, how mental health outcomes change, and what goes wrong. Drawing on standardized data from 2,363 participants captured at the point of care, this talk shares what worked, what needs fixing, and what New Mexico can expect for its own program.
